CRAFT PUBLIC RELATIONS PROMOTES MELISSA RETTY TO MANAGING DIRECTOR

Ali Azzopardi and Julie Pieterse move into Senior Vice President roles, and agency adds three new Account Executives to support business growth

TORONTO – April 8, 2025 - Melissa Retty is now Managing Director at Craft Public Relations, the agency announced today. Retty is one of three newly promoted senior team members at the company: Ali Azzopardi and Julie Pieterse both assume a Senior Vice President title - the pair were previously VPs.

Retty was the first employee to join Craft after the agency was founded in 2015, and the role of Managing Director has been newly created for her - a reflection of her leadership across the agency.

“All of the incredible things this agency has accomplished over the last decade simply wouldn’t have been possible without Melissa,” explains Lisa Pasquin, Founder and President, Craft Public Relations. “She leads with a sense of care and compassion that have shaped Craft into what we are today.”

In 2024, Craft was named Canadian Agency of the Year by PRovoke Media and Mid-Sized Canadian Agency Team of the Year by the Canadian Public Relations Society. Provoke also named the Toronto-based shop the best PR Agency to Work for in North America.

Retty will continue to play a hands-on leadership role on client files in her new role. Craft’s client roster includes Hershey Canada, Keurig Dr Pepper, Nintendo of Canada and Tim Hortons.

Craft has also recently added two new Account Executives to the team: Srishti Palimar and Nicole Grossman both joined Craft at the end of 2024, to support both organic and new business growth.
